Kumari conference 2024 ended well in Nashville Tennessee. The number of attendees would have been much more had it not been of the two misfortunes that befell the city of Nashville. There were two deaths that made some people top skip this conference. Other than the was very sweet, lovely enjoyable and message was positive and encouraging. Both venues of the were knit, clean and well decorated. Food was great and plenty, and those who have not tested “luparate and kumuro oil got it and loved it. the welcome was enthusiastic and colorful. The only problem that interfered was technology causing the conference to delay. After that the zoom was zooming and the attendees were in action. The success of this meeting goes to the organizers who worked so hard to put it together. The theme of the was a Thanksgiving and well-articulated by his Grace   Bishop Kenyi Lule of Kajokeji.

Music was obviously fantastic and as usual pastor Wani Busi was on stage. His message was clear, praising and detailing the verses of Bible through music. To tell the truth he was much better that some priests who never went to Romogi!!!!.

I have never ever seen women sticking together like in this conference, they danced together, sang together, cooked together and slept together and if indeed that was work of God, we say Amin. Besides  the Thanksgiving, meetings, greetings and other goodies, the prayers and preaches should be left to the attendees to judge for themselves.

 A presentation about mental health crises among the south Sudanese, by Regina Jacob almost stole the show. Thank you, Rachel, Jane Miriam Modong, Mary Cornelius and others for integrating this presentation to the conference. This was new to people in Nashville for those who came to the conference. Most people indeed agreed with the substance of the presentation and admitted that they too experience those cries in their own families. The difference between the mental health presentation and preaching was huge.  whereas mental health  presentation  gave both the causes, and preventative measures  preaching only offered payers as the ultimate medicine to any disease. This seemed to have sent confusion to some attendees especially the youth.

All in all, the unity among the Kuku community begins with women and at the beginning Kuku women were united and acted as one body. But this time they did not all come due to what can be attributed to a touch of unholy spirit, that has divided the congregation attracting some to take easy way.  Whereas in the Anglican Episcopalian and Catholic churches training and experience is emphasized. Sooner some south Sudanese found that in other Christian denominations, any gift is given and determined by God. Even becoming a thief, a gay and a leader is determined by God? All in all, the conference was wonderful and so planning for the next one  should begin now.
