The purpose of merefocus is to inform public and especially south Sudanese to follow day to day events of what is happening in their country, what they expect to get from their government and what are their rights. After separation from Sudan about ten years ago most south Sudanese are wondering why, they are still living in refugee camps even in their own countries, there is still insecurity in their country, why there is hunger why they are not benefiting from the natural recourses of the county they fought for and paid heavily with their blood. Whereas there is acute shortage of most essential commodities, what is common and readily available in the country is brutal death by being shot, butchered, and cut like a meat.

Whereas the ordinary citizen is experiencing and witnessing these shortcomings, a few and especially most leaders at the top are living a lavish lifestyle with mansions in Nairobi, Kampala, U.K. Canada, Australia etc.

South Sudanese must ask themselves, what is the purpose of government in any country? I think the answer should be simple, the government is responsible for creating 

And enforcing the rules of a society, especially defense, the economy and public services. The role of true leaders, like late Thomas Sankara, Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere and lately Pombe Mugafuli of Tanzania is to provide people with social security, to provide them with economic growth, making sure the basic facilities like health education and sanitation are available.

The common man in South Sudan should be informed, that their country is going through endless civil war because of struggle for power. It has apparently become clear that, that when the President of Uganda and Sudan brought the main war lords, Salva Kiir and Riak Machar together, including other war factions and suggested positions, guns slowed. The result was for the country to have five Vice Presidents, unlimited members of parliaments etc. As a result, Riak Machar who is a professional prisoner accepted returning to house prison in Juba where all the escape routes are properly sealed. He was not embarrassed to abandon his deer supporters and appointed his own wife to a position of Defense Minister and his mother in low not much schooled to Health Minister.
